Abstract:
This document serves as the User's Manual for GILA, a general-purpose Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation code developed by Sandia National Laboratories. GILA is designed for a range of computational mechanics problems, with a particular focus on thermal-hydraulics and coupled thermomechanical analyses. The code is capable of simulating incompressible fluid flow governed by the Navier-Stokes equations and incorporates advanced numerical techniques such as finite element formulations, explicit time integration, and parallel algorithms for efficient computation.
