Meshing Polygonal Surfaces with
TrueGrid®
The following is a list of some of the TrueGrid features that are
particularly relavant to users whose geometry is expressed in terms
of polygonal surfaces:
Imports quadrilaterial and triangular surface data
Extracts all surface edges and interior features automatically
Removes duplicate nodes, avoiding degenerate surface edges
Attaches mesh nodes to surface points
Attaches mesh edges to surface edges
Combines triangular surfaces with all types of surfaces
Projects the mesh to these surfaces
Extracts geodesic-type curves from surfaces
Applies all forms of mesh interpolation along surfaces
Forms intersection curves with all other types of surfaces
Elliptic solvers smooth the mesh on these surfaces
Nodes remain constrained to a surface once they are projected
Surfaces extended tangentially to fill small gaps
Interactively modify these surfaces
