TrueGrid® Finite Element Model of a
Starship Toy: View 3
This model of a toy can be used to determine it's durability. It is
constructed of all hexahedron brick elements, most of which are nearly
orthogonal. The geometry was constructed in
TrueGrid®. There are 10 parts. They form one
contiguous model. Parts are merged together by constraining the nodes of a
face of a part to match the nodes of the face of another part. Also note the
quadrilateral mesh transitions in the parabolic dish. This is a standard
feature in TrueGrid®.
