Finite Element Mesh of a Pipe Elbow
The base of this part is done in a quarter section and then replicated. There are 3 separate parts to this model. There are 1,440 nodes that merge out. There remain 20,844 nodes and 16,000 bricks. This takes about an hour to build (from geometry to mesh) and about 10 seconds to merge the nodes. (Or at least it did in 1996.)
