What is the cylinder part used for?


The cylindrical part means that the coordinate system is used to form the part is the cylindrical coordinate system. This also means that interpolations are done in the cylidrical coordinate system.

You must avoid having a cylindrical part cross over the pole (local z-axis). If you problem crosses over the pole, use the block part.

In most cases, if the interpolations that are done in cylindrical coordinates do not apply to your problem, you should use the block part where the part is formed in Cartesian coordinates.
